Across government, commercial, and private road and car park infrastructure, asphalt maintenance is not optional — it is essential to protecting asset performance, safety, and long-term value.

Every project comes with different budget considerations. In some cases, full pavement replacement is the right solution to maximise longevity. In others, targeted maintenance treatments can significantly extend the life of the asset and reduce future costs.

At East West Contracting, we work with clients to deliver practical asphalt solutions that align with both asset condition and budget. From full road and car park reconstruction to preventative maintenance planning, we help develop clear, cost-effective pathways forward.

If you are looking to better manage your road infrastructure, our team can assist with maintenance planning, budgeting, and tailored solutions to keep your assets performing well into the future.

This week our team delivered a new asphalt pickleball court, inclusive of shed surrounds and an access road, within a constrained residential environment.

Scope included:

• Removal of the existing asphalt surface
• Installation of new concrete drainage channels
• Placement of additional CBR material
• Precision trimming to achieve compacted levels within >5mm tolerance
• Asphalt placement to matching tight finish tolerances

Access constraints required all material to be transported via skid steers, demanding careful sequencing and quality control to maintain specification compliance.

Projects of this nature leave little margin for error.
surface tolerances are critical, drainage must perform, and finish quality is highly visible. The result is a technically precise, durable asphalt surface delivered to unforgiving standards.

A strong demonstration of our capability in delivering detailed asphalt works where accuracy, planning and execution matter.

Well done to the East West team.

It’s not always about the money or the size of the contract.
What matters most is the pride we take in delivering a project and looking back knowing we did it right.
The same pride we had when we first started.

A strong first week back for the team at East West last week completing this 4500m2 bus parking yard for CDC in Kunda park. We milled the sealed areas, trimmed, shaped and formed the remainder. laid 630 tonnes of asphalt and finished off with linemarking and reinstatement of the wheel stops. Setting a solid statement for 26.
Well done to the team and everyone involved.

🔥 Another project wrapped up on the Sunshine Coast!
This week our team completed hot rubber crack sealing for a local community village — helping extend the life of their road surfaces and protect their asset for years to come.

Regular maintenance like crack sealing is one of the most cost-effective ways to prevent water damage, improve safety and avoid expensive repairs down the track.

If your pavement is starting to show signs of wear, now is the perfect time to act.
